Keira and Carey on the Red Carpet: Lizzie and Kitty Bennet Looking Hot

Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley at the London Film Festival. Image @Tom and Lorenzo
Tom and Lorenzo, who are fabulous and opinionated, recently featured two of the Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice 2005 in one of their fashion posts. What do you think of the ladies' outfits? Yay for their youthful and playful quality? Or nay for misfiring their fashion choices?

Jane Austen Mashup Throwdown

Have Jane Austen mashups turned the corner? Has the trend been drained of blood, now that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the movie, has been shelfed? Do you care if the trend lives on or not? Now is your time to give us your opinion!

They're among the walking dead, and barely moving
Eh. Meh. Bleh. Feh! I could care less.
Regency vampires are kinda cute. I'll read a few of them.
I keep baring my neck hoping that one will bite me. Keep bringing them on

Keira Knightley? A Double Take

When I saw this image taken at the Toronto International Film Festival, I did a double take and wondered if Keira Knightley had "work" done on her face. Then I read the caption: Rachel Weisz, who has slimmed down considerably. Am I the only one to notice the resemblance? The two women could play sisters.

Keira Knightley? No, it's Rachel Weitz

Celebrity Look-Alikes Include Jane Austen Character Actresses

This post, Celebrity Look-Alikes, includes Frances O'Connor, who played Fanny Price, and Keira Knightley, who played Elizabeth Bennet. Some of the other comparisons are a bit closer. Nevertheless, the resemblances are uncanny.

Keira and Carey: Pride and Prejudice Alumni Reunite for Another Film

Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan (r) are in Never Let Me Go, a film about three friends who grow up together and attend the same boarding school. In an interview with Mail Online, Carey, who was sixteen when she played the role of Kitty Bennet, "credits Knightley for being her 'acting coach' while they were on the set of Pride And Prejudice."

The film, which also features Sally Hawkins(Anne Elliot, Persuasion), is scheduled to be released in the U.S. in October. Interestingly, this drama has a sci-fic ending. (I have not read the book by Kazuo Ishiguro.) Watch a short video about filming the movie...

Jane Austen Movie Fashion Throwdown

Today I ask you to decide between Lizzie Bennet and Elizabeth Bennet, or Keira and Jennifer. Which actress's wardrobe best AUTHENTICALLY portrayed our favorite Austen heroine? The votes for Mrs. Bennet were hot and heavy and it wasn't until the 5th day that the tide began to sway towards Brenda Blethyn's side. This week I ask you: Whose wardrobe do you like best?

Sexy Samantha and Mr. Darcy Set for Private Lives

Kim Cattrall, who was born in Widnes, England, will appear opposite Matthew MacFadyen next year in Private Lives, a Noel Coward play. The plot revolves around two divorced people who meet again while honeymooning with their new spouses. The play is scheduled to run from March 3, 2010 in the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End.

Kim is best known for her role as Samantha Jones in Sex in the City. Matthew MacFadyen, as every Janeite knows, played Mr. Darcy opposite Keira Knightley in 2005's Pride and Prejudice.

Speaking of Keira, rumor has it that she is considering playing the role of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Groans can be heard around the earth, but Keira has managed to draw large audiences to her films. Here's an image of Keira and Audrey Hepburn morphed.
